Peas and Vegetable Pulao

This is a simple Indian dish which can be made quickly and easily. This mild flavored pulao made with green peas, carrot and french beans goes perfect with any dal recipe or raita. Savour this Indian dish that works as a great accompaniment to any dish!

Ingredients

  • SALT
  • OIL OR LAILA GHEE
  • 2 CLOVES GARLIC – grated
  • 1 GREEN CHILLI – finely chopped
  • 1 CUP green peas
  • 1/2 CUP Carrot and French Beans finely chopped
  • ½ tsp roasted JEERA or CUMIN SEEDS- powdered
  • 1 Large onion sliced
  • 1 Cup LAILA Basmati Rice

Method

Soak the LAILA basmati rice for 15 minutes.

In a heavy wide-bottomed pan, heat the oil, add the chili and garlic. Saute.

Add onion saute for 5 mins than add Peas, french beans and carrot and Saute for 4 to 5 minutes.

Add the cumin powder and the rice, Mix well.

Pour Water and add salt.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook on a medium heat until the water is completely absorbed.

Serve hot with yoghurt or pickle.
